Max Clark Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 We're scheduled to fly down to Houston this weekend (Sat 1/31 to Sun 2/1). Overnight temps are a low of 29°F. I called the FBO (Gill Aviation) and they said they don't offer transient hangar space. Does anyone know any other options for me? Thanks!
McMooney Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 strange they used to have a couple t's reserved just for that, maybe they are full. do you need kdwh ? ksgr should have a few, def keld. actually, it's supposed to be pure sun with little humidity, do you really need a hangar 1

If it’s texas and sunny during the day, nighttime temps of 29 means it’ll hit 29 for 5 minutes at 5am. I bet you could check your oil temp then and still find it at 40. Anytime after ~10am to launch and it will be warm enough for sure. I personally like oil and cylinders at 40 or higher whenever possible but that’s just my technique.
NickG Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 I know the FBO's at Conroe (KCXO) Galaxy FBO and General Aviation Jet Services both offer overnight hangar space. 1

Hank Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 Check with the FBOs at T41, La Porte, on the east side of town. Inhad good luck a year ago with the nice guys at Tri Star Aviation.

McMooney Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 If Gill is def saying no availability, try KTME or KIWS. KTME is kinda like an aircraft HILTON 1
