@EricJ

Here's an example of what we are talking about:

Guy wants to have his buddies over to watch the Super bowl but his TV is too small.  So, he heads over to Walmart and BUYS a 100" big screen, takes it home and he and his buddies watch the game. Next day he takes it back for a refund.  Now, the store CANNOT sell it as new; open box special is probably the best they can do.  But, hey, this guy doesn't care about that.

I just can’t imagine justifying the behavior because the company “doesn’t treat employees fairly/pay them adequately” (in his mind) as justification for despicable behavior. Then calls people that call his awful behavior out “WalMart simps”. WTF, over.  He will never “get it”. He will rationalize all day long and call us the bad people. F that. What a douche.

This thead reminds me of another person with questionnable ethics who openly bragged on another forum about stealing accessories from courtesy cars that Mercedes used to provide to customers while their cars were in the shop (maybe they still do, I have not been to a dealer for a while). He used similar justification for his conduct - Mercedes is charging arm and a leg for their parts and service and thus it was OK to steal stuff from thier courtesy cars.

This type of behavior just f^%$# things up for everyone.

I’ve used the rental at full price from Napa several times.

NEVER RETURNED ONE even if that was the original intent.

Because… one never knows when you might be needing it on a Sunday night. Inconvenience you from completing a job (TERRIBLY PAINFUL). Tools are fun. Multiple sets even funner, and I’m not a poor.  Life is good. Tools are good.

 Cheap tools are very expensive

Championing for “what’s right” when it comes to walmart is lol worthy

100% agree. I've never regretted the purchase of a quality tool. In fact, I like to joke around the house "he who dies with the most tools wins." It's only kind of a joke. :P

What is the deal with you and "walmart/Wally World/Walmart"?  You have been going on about them since page 1....back when the topic was about LASAR Assurance Program and the future of Mooney parts....

Apparently his position is that it's acceptable practice to abuse those whom you don't respect.

Yeah, like this.

I feel like maybe there’s one guy with multiple profiles bringing the antagonism. There are two specific member profiles whose content is almost entirely made up of argumentative, disrespectful and belittling replies.

I’ve seen them go after each other…mirror images of douchebaggery.

You’re close, I think it’s fully acceptable to treat others as they treat you.

As a American tax payer walmart “abuses” the heck out of me.

 Ok

That would be my bank account, all the stupid taxes I pay, as my tax dollars prop up walmarts junk model of “paying” their army of “part time” workers

Second would be some folks I know who’s business were shutdown by the government during COVID, complete with armed agents of the state who would use up to lethal force to keep their business closed, as at the same time they stood guard at the local wally worlds

Some don’t get this, but loss of a business and income often = divorce = depression, kids not being able to do the same activities,  etc

To reiterate f’ walmart with a cactus

So yeah, if I need a floor jack, one that’ll probably fail after 6-12mo if I kept it, I’ll buy it and take it back where the underpaid worker will gladly take it back even after I describe how I used it and now want my money back.

So your taxes do prop up Walmart.  Like every business that exists in this country,  tax cuts are given to attract businesses to an area, mostly if not exclusively from the lical level. That's a political issue. Their model of paying employees,  you mean employees entering an employment relationship of their own free will and getting paid unlike Europe a few hundred years ago, or currently since they get paid far less than the US and far more taxes.

The shutdowns were politics, not sure walmart directed agents to shutdown businesses. I know many businesses that refused.

Divorces happen for all sorts of reasons, i know first hand. Again not sure walmart is on that reason list.

Tools even from "high end" places like mac fail, almost crushed by a failed part. Again not sure walmart is to blame there either. Sounds more like the consumers choose.

Remind me never to lend you something,  you sound like a joy of a person to deal with. I picture you with a karen haircut.

Simping for walmart ain’t a good look

So no, I know of no small business that accepts food stamps while abusing the part time system and having employees who themselves are on food stamps, let alone to the scale of walmart, soooo let’s kabash that nonsense

Entering on their own free will?  Really?  Do you get how human needs work and the demographic who ends up at walmart?

Its free will, I mean like you could always live under a tarp under the overpass lol

You think “politics” gets you a free pass?  Straight up police forced small business to shutdown and fail, same police stood guard at walmarts, it is what it is

Most say it’s “love” but real world the cash stops and the love will soon follow in 90% of modern marriages, lest we get into the outcome demographics of kids from fatherless homes and the trend of family courts

You saying the build quality of Wally World tools is even in the same galaxy as something off the Mac truck, or even old yardsale craftsmans?  You use tools much?

Lol, I’m a great guy, leave stuff better than I found it, I’ll go out of my way to help those deserving even when it comes with some expense, but I’m not a door mat and I don’t forget.  I see who my friends are, who makes my community better, and I see the ones taking advantage of my community and who the victimizers are, and I act accordingly.

Simping, lol. Haven't walked in a Walmart in 20 years. I just don't blame others for my failings.

I know far more mom and pop places that accept welfare AND abuse their workers. People tend to get their comeuppance.

Yes everyone has free will where they work, unless you are in most African nations, china, north Korea.  Also, minimal skills, minimal pay. From a young age everyone has their own destiny in their hands. However. Not sure why you keep bringing your chip on your shoulder here. Go to therapy or check yourself into an institution,  you sound unhinged.

Yes quality is virtually the same for majority of all things in this country,  either they or the materials come from only a few places. No, not talking about old gramps tools. No not saying current quality is that good. Again, the consumers determined that.

Perhaps, stop worrying about others and go work on yourself, go cry yourself to sleep cursing the world because not everyone is equal and tomorrow go seek some help because your friends probably are not here.
