Rick Junkin Posted March 28, 2024 Report Posted March 28, 2024 Has anyone Bluetooth-paired a GoPro Hero 12 Black to a GMA 345 audio panel and successfully recorded the ship's audio with the GoPro? I'm thinking of buying one if it gets rid of the wires required for my Hero 4. The Garmin documentation is vague on what cameras other than the VIRB will work with the GMA 345. Cheers, Junkman Quote

Cheers, Junkman I was never able to get it to work on my GMA350C on my old M20C. I now have a bravo with a GMA35. I haven't tried it yet Quote
Rick Junkin Posted August 26, 2024 Author Report Posted August 26, 2024 Closing this loop - Yes, it works! I was able to pair a new GoPro Hero 12 Black with my GMA 345 and it records the audio I hear in my headset. And the new Enduro batteries last 1 hour +. No more comm and battery wires needed, just a nice clean mount on the roof of the cockpit with voice activation available to operate the camera. Cheers, Rick 1 Quote
IFLYIFR Posted September 8, 2024 Report Posted September 8, 2024 Rick, what mount do you use to mount your GoPro to the cabin ceiling? Could you post a photo of the mounted camera and the model number of the mount. I don’t want to damage the ceiling of my new (2020) interior. Thanks. John. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

IFLYIFR Posted September 9, 2024 Report Posted September 9, 2024 No disappointment, just hoping you had found a stable mechanical mount. John. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
