kechmant Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 I have recently purchased 1968 M20F and it has Hartzell C2YK-1BF prop hub that requires a 100hr AD. Plane sat for awhile and I am fixing some other issues until we can safely fly it home. Does anybody know who can do the Eddy current testing? Or hear about a non AD hub/prop for sale? Also I am looking for the boost pump. Quote
skydvrboy Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 Not really in or around Vegas, but Redline Aviation in Akron, CO is my go to shop. They last quoted me $150, but actually charged me less when all was said and done. Quote
kechmant Posted October 26, 2023 Author Report Posted October 26, 2023 I like that price. I am ok with removing the prop and driving but thats too far. The only option I found so far is Santa Monica propeller, and they quoted me $550 Quote
kerry Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 Lone Mountain Aviation at VGT use to do it. The last time I did it before I got my Top Prop I flew into Parowan Utah 1L9. I removed the spinner and I think it was about $100. Quote
kechmant Posted October 26, 2023 Author Report Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) I spoke to Lone Mountain today actually and they said they could not justify having one of their staff being certified and current. They still have the equipment but no technician. What is the name a place in Utah? Edited October 26, 2023 by kechmant Quote
kerry Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 I just called the Parowan airport and they told me the eddy current person retired. Sorry Quote
cliffy Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 Ain't much in Parowan anyway :-) I live near by Got a good Mexican restaurant though. :-) Quote
