bavareze Posted July 7, 2023 Report Posted July 7, 2023 Been looking like this lately. What are my options to improve, so I can read the numbers, not just the bars? Thanks
ArtVandelay Posted July 7, 2023 Report Posted July 7, 2023 Easiest is 700 to 730 upgrade, think it’s only $1500. 1
bavareze Posted July 8, 2023 Author Report Posted July 8, 2023 The look and feel of 730 really doesn't fit in my panel, I was hoping to keep the old school look and feel.
PT20J Posted July 8, 2023 Report Posted July 8, 2023 Call JPI. They may be able to repair it. If not, I have a 700 with fuel flow I'll sell for $500.

When you say "with fuel flow", is that something specific to the instrument, or does that mean it comes with the transducer?
Utah20Gflyer Posted July 8, 2023 Report Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) I personally went from a EDM 800 to an 830. The functionality of the 730/830 series is significantly better because of the larger screen and the fact that it displays 14 things simultaneously rather than just a couple. I used to always have to scroll through in the 800 to get info but know rarely do because everything I want to know is already being displayed. If you want to stay with the OG style I also have an 800 I could sell you, mine also has fuel flow as well as many other options over the 700. It uses the same plug as the 700, basically the difference between the 700 and 800 is software, but 800 allows many more options. Edited July 8, 2023 by Utah20Gflyer
