Has anyone removed their annunciator...I have a jpi 930 which is stc,d  to remove old guages...I want to replace gear down annunciator...with green  l.e.d. light....and gear unsafe with red l.e.d.  Can this be done legally

Lots of people have done that. I kept mine because it had other useful annunciations such as Boost Pump, Speed Brakes, Volts (hi/low), Pitot heat and Starter Power. Talk to your installer about what you can eliminate, but I doubt you'd have to keep anything but the gear and speed brake annunciators.

JPI handles voltage annunciations, the rest are probably simple lights, no circuitry to do comparisons like fuel and voltage annunciations.

With my last update that included the GI-275 EIS the only annunciator I had left was the gear annunciator so I removed the annunciator panel and used an Eaton style annunciator for the gear.

I think it was pricey, maybe $500, but I really like the look and it has a push to test functionality built in and includes the text etched on the cover.

It is a custom order part from Applied Avionics, I believe the manufacturer is Vivisun and the part number is LED-XX-17-BA2-E30Y3 but I don't know if that part number is meaningful given the custom order. It has a Green "GEAR Down" and a Red "GEAR UNSAFE" and no switch, just the internal press to test.  Looks like it was $543.
