What tools and spare parts do you carry in your plane?

Assuming some mechanical skills.

And, be specific, I am sure you do not carry a complete set of wrenches, just ones likely to be used. :D

Thanks

A small socket set. Regular and Phillips screwdriver. Needle nose pliers. Wire cutters. Leatherman tool. Assorted screws. A bit of safety wire. A plier / wrench set in zip pouch, which holds the little stuff too.

And a Swiss Army knife in my pocket. Take that, TSA!!

Similar set of tools as Hank... plus the spark plug socket that I just added this week.

Oh I also have two different LED flash lights.

Starter, tire, tube, assorted other part junk, lol, plugs, and some tools.  I generally travel alone so weight isn’t an issue (though I am a little liberal on hat rack weight).  The tire and tube is useful as always easy to find a changer sometimes hard to find the tire/tube.

+1 for the same kit. Clarence had me cut it down from the “near prepper” kit I had created six years ago with a roll-up carrying case.  I had to realise that being AOG still meant only a professional would actually do the work and sign off.

Hard lesson for an engineer (and retired soldier) to learn.

Take along tools you would require to tackle minor issues within your skill set.  More than that it’s a waste of payload and space.  A few screwdrivers, pliers, spark plug removal tools, a few assorted wrenches, small assortment of screws, a spare spark plug etc.
