M20 Ogler Posted July 4, 2021 Author Report Posted July 4, 2021 Ok, the main collars are both offset towards the top. Quote

Some top collars have an offset hole allowing more or less compression, these are normally installed on the nose. The mains should be the same height. Clarence Yes, but that would only effect max extension of the swing arm. It would not affect the plane when under its own weight. We put new discs on my F model thIs week and are having a similar issue. Looks like it may be the result of jacking one side of the plane and compressing the other side for several hours. Seems to have evened out after leaving the plane on jacks overnight but I left message on the tech line at Lord nevertheless. Quote
M20 Ogler Posted July 4, 2021 Author Report Posted July 4, 2021 My plane has flown about 85 tach hours since the donuts were installed. I would think that’s plenty of flight time for them to relax and even out of one side was compressed more than the other. Quote

M20 Ogler Posted July 5, 2021 Author Report Posted July 5, 2021 The left gear say March 2020 if I’m reading them correctly. The right say March and the year is hard to see because the door cover obscures. I’ll check more closely tomorrow Quote
