A month after buying and taking delivery of an RV-7A, we completed the Annual inspection and flew it for the first time.  It flies like my RV-4 just more comfortable.

No picture but the last flight of the year went just like the rest of the year.  Attitude indicator oscillated, rolled over, twitched a few times and died. Vac pump is still working fine.  40 Plus years, 6600 hours, only had a couple AIs replaced because they were giving indications of impending failure.  This was a first for me, bam, it was done.  G5s planned but the shop is months out.  Decisions, decisions.

That's exactly how mine went. Flying out to breakfast, everything was fine. Last check before takeoff coming home, it was not fine. Interesting on climbout, watching the AI vibrate and show a descending turn when looking out the window shows a straight ahead climb . . .

Sunday Sightseeing on a silky smooth day.  We planned to fly the pass from Floyd Bennet (KGFL) to Ticonderoga (4B6) but a line of snow showers and overcast kept us southeast of the front so we scoped out the ice at Alton Bay instead.

Decided against landing this time.

Thank you to those that took the time to share flights and other stories for the year 2020.  A year that many would like to get a Muligan and perhaps a free drop with no penalty.  Even with all the restrictions many were able to get some great flying done.  Hopefully next year will be better for all. We shall see said the zen master.  See you on the flip side.

Closing out 2020 with some shots of my flight yesterday. They include proof that it does snow in SOCAL and its hard to beat the sunsets here... Enjoy!

Final, 18, French Valley (F70), full stop. Colors in the sky were truly distracting. I have a video crafted for my Mom and the sky was so amazing I over flew base to final--good thing the pictures don't show it. Wishing Y'all a Happy New Year!!!
