Would it even show something if I do the oil analysis  3 hours after oil change?
I naively suspect those numbers build up linearly so if the iron level after 3 hours let's say 10, using approximation - in 25 hours it should be  ~80 considering the "fresh" oil iron level is zero.

How far is this statement from truth?

It's probably close to true, but the date interval also matters.  I had spikes of iron and aluminum when my plane was down for 4 months waiting for a new prop.  The oil was already 3 months old and had about 17 hours.  Of course, part of those spikes might by from changing the prop, but I don't necessarily see how.

It will show your willingness to throw money at something that has no possible value.

Try it to prove to yourself...

1) if the engine was completely cleaned of all oil and dirt as if it were new...

The three hours of run time would leave such a small number of particles the lab equipment is going to be challenged with accuracy.

2) most likely parts of an old quart are still in the engine and the sump carry’s a fair amount of dirt with it... this adds to the noise level that is thrown onto the low level challenge in point 1).

3) If you send a sample in and you find high metal and Si numbers... check the screens/filter for a handful of sand and cam lobes.

What makes this sound like a good idea?

Somebody selling a plane has just changed the oil... somebody buying the plane wants to do oil analysis... and there is no oil analysis history...

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic or oilman...

Best regards,
