carusoam Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Craig, Thanks for sharing that unfortunate and tragic story. That sheds a light on the multifaceted challenges of moisture entering our fuel tanks. We continue to learn by communicating. MooneySpace is a wonderful tool. If you can, please send a kind thank you. Best regards, -a- Quote
DaV8or Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Thankfully, my fuel servo and flow divider were just disassembled and inspected because of the troubles I've had recently. I'm good to go on the fuel servo anyways. Never underestimate the seemingly infinite ways our engines can fail. I'll post my issue next week when all is said and done. I might get my plane back Friday! Yeah! Quote
Jeff_S Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 While there may have been water in the fuel, this seems to me that the cause of the real tragedy (death of the pilot) was the too-common turnback attempt to land at the airport. Quote
