Thanks for sharing that unfortunate and tragic story. That sheds a light on the multifaceted challenges of moisture entering our fuel tanks.

Thankfully, my fuel servo and flow divider were just disassembled and inspected because of the troubles I've had recently. I'm good to go on the fuel servo anyways. Never underestimate the seemingly infinite ways our engines can fail. I'll post my issue next week when all is said and done. I might get my plane back Friday! Yeah!

While there may have been water in the fuel, this seems to me that the cause of the real tragedy (death of the pilot) was the too-common turnback attempt to land at the airport.
