You have to watch the AMUs per departure! My little Mooney has done pretty well by that score--I think I'm over 1000 departures now.

I just find it absolutely astonishing after all the different models, and experiences, lessons learned, etc., that on the M22 they still accidentally put the tail on backwards!

I never understood why some people think it's backwards when in reality is swept forward.

I like the theory that the V-tail was a result of a parts shortage for fins and rudders.

I think it is beautiful and am a Mooney man through-and-through.  I just love keeping the idea in my head that they keep puting the tails on backwards by accident...

I user to work with a guy who told me his dad had a Mooney. He said they flew all over the place. One day I asked what kind of Mooney it was. He said it was called a Mustang.

well i see all the other planes have their tails on backwards as a trick to try and make their airplane look like it’s going fast because in reality they are not, like the 60’s fin tail cars, But i grew up in a mooney and only learned of these slower less efficient other airplanes when i went to get my private pilots license cause dad wasn’t going to let me learn how to land in the mooney.
