RobertGary1 Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 Can anyone recommend a place to purchase a replacement for my adjustment screwdriver. It has to be thin enough to fit in the shaft. -Robert Quote
carusoam Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 Sounds like a long 1.5mm flat screwdriver may be in order...? I came across this looking to see what experience can be found.., https://www.euroga.org/forums/maintenance-avionics/6370-ki-207-indicator-vor-center-adjustment From there, I got this.... The KI207 doesn’t have any adjustment screws – these are only in the KI203/204. Have a look at the installation manual: http://www.seam-avionic.com/pdf/r09eng1yjo.pdf If you in fact have a KI204, the adjustment screw is a flat blade – about 1.5mm wide will do and don’t push too hard or you’ll bend the legs of the potentiometer. A normal instrument screwdriver is too short so a piece of thin brazing rod filed to a flat blade works fine. I tried looking for a BK tool, but haven’t turned anything up yet... best regards, -a- Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 I hammer my braising rod first, then file it. It goes faster.... Quote
