tigers2007 Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 Hey it’s reality. Just protect yourselves by doing a once-over in the interior. I do this with my Alamo/Enterprise rental cars. No way I’m going down that easy!I’m sure our attorney’s here can attest that a legal search of a vehicle’s interior (“within reach of the driver/occupant in question”) is way easier to articulate by a LEO than the search of a home (think AirBnB). I’m not saying to hire a K-9 to sweep it but to do a quick cursory check of the accessible compartments and footwell areas for little bags of white powdery substances left behind from the last renters. You would be surprised of the crap that people drop between the seat and center console and even on the floor in plain sight. It could change your life. With that said I’m going to download this app and check it out the next time I visit a major city. I’m sick of the $15/day rentals that have $28 in daily taxes added on.
