cliffy Posted January 4, 2017 Report Posted January 4, 2017 Just had a note from Paul Odum telling of the progress on getting the Pro system "approved" for legacy airplanes. They are on track still for Oshkosh of this year with 172s and 182s. Our Mooneys are in the slot also but after the Cessnas. If you haven't sent them an email telling of your interest you need to do it now to get us to the top of the list!! These guys have their act together and want to get it done as fast as possible with the FAA. They are aware of the interest in coupling to ILS and VOR and will also be looking into that aspect as they move along BUT for us to have a real good 2 axis A/P that can couple to our GPS (panel or handheld) with altitude seek and hold is great IMO even if we don't have ILS capability right away. This is the best news we've had for our legacy airplanes in a long time. Just think, a 50 year old short body with a 21ft century digital autopilot, THAT WE CAN AFFORD!. SEND THEM AN EMAIL NOW!!!!!!!!!! 2 Quote
