Tommy Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 The flap cover (M20J 1981) was recently removed but we are missing a few dome rivets. The paintshop guy said they couldn't get these (See attched) which I found hard to believe. Wonder if anyone knows the part number and the measurements of these rivets? Thanks
carusoam Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 Looks like somebody added that on somewhere along the way. If that is after-market, it could be a Lasar device. Either way, Lasar could help. Keep in mind, Lasar is probably on holiday Thursday / turkey day in the US of A... Stand by for some better ideas from somebody more qualified than me... Best regards, -a-

carusoam Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 Wow, that didn't take very long... -a-
thinwing Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 They may call for cherry-max rivets which are the structural blind pop rivets ...
MB65E Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 It's an avex non structural rivet. Don't use cherry max rivets on fiberglass. It will destroy/crack the fiberglass.. -Matt
MB65E Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 But Tom, being from Downunder (I believe) Almost any 1/8" pop rivet will work on those covers. -Matt 1
Guest Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 Tom, Those look very much like a large area Pop rivet used to hold baffle tapes to metal baffles. Send me your address and I'll mail you some, black, white or silver? Clarence
jetdriven Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 I've pulled plenty of Avex rivets. They have a little larger grip length than a standard pop rivet and are likely a little stronger.
