Schinderhannes Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 The FAA ADS-B Certified Equipment webpage lists the following GPS unit for the Trig TT31 Transponder: FreeFlight WAAS 1201, Accord Technology NexNav™ Mini, Garmin GNS 400W/500W series, Garmin GTN 650/750, Trig TN70 Does anybody know if this includes the Garmin 480 units? CaptRJM Posted November 8, 2016 Report Posted November 8, 2016 Garmin was supposed to release a new software version for the 480 to make it available to be used as a WAAS position source for ADS-B installation. I believe it was the be out early this year. I'd suggest calling Garmin to check. Quote
AaronDC8402 Posted November 8, 2016 Report Posted November 8, 2016 Does this help? http://garmin.blogs.com/aviationalerts/2015/04/service-bulletin-1519-gns-480-cnx80-software-upgrade-to-version-24-with-gps-software-upgrade-to-vers.html We just sent out our Garmin 330 for a 330ES upgrade with the intent of connecting it to our 480 for ADSB out compliance.
