thomas1142 Posted May 31, 2016 Report Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) Any info/thoughts on this J would be appreciated. http://flightplanet.com/single-engine-piston-aircraft-for-sale/mooney/m-20j-201__8330.php Edited June 1, 2016 by thomas1142
thomas1142 Posted June 1, 2016 Author Report Posted June 1, 2016 OK, either this post got lost in the fray, no one knows or has any thoughts on the aircraft, or I got someone upset and won't reply. I have been a prospective buyer for sometime, but now the stars have aligned just right, financing is secured, insurance lined up, even a hangar is waiting me. So I am in the market for at least a mid to late 80's J.
Andy95W Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 7500 hours TT is a big number for a relatively young airplane, and I hate it when they don't list a price.

I did ask and it was a trainer in its early life. I also hate it when no price is listed, why do they make you ask.?
Mcoyne34 Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 315 hours per year avg. This plane does a lot of flying. Was it a trainer of some sort?
kevinw Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 Too many hours for me. You would really have to buy it right because it will be tough to sell when you want to move it.
aviatoreb Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 This looks nice and it only has 21,000 TT on the airframe. I think if I were stinkin' rich I would get one of these to keep in my ginormous hangar full of fun toys. http://www.controller.com/listings/aircraft/for-sale/1433927/1944-douglas-dc-3c I have heard of some out there in the 100,000 TT area.

So I am very conscious of the resale issue.
