Thanks to the guys here who have been helping me out behind the scenes! I've been back and forth about what model to get, but a real good deal on a C model popped up locally so I bought it (after a thorough pre-buy), Now I need 5 hours dual and a complex endorsement for the insurance company (and as much as I need to feel comfortable). Can anyone recommend a CFI near Greensboro NC? I've looked on all the "Mooney CFI lists" I can find, doesn't seem to be one listed too close. Thanks everyone!

how far are you from Sanford NC?

Not very from a flying standpoint. And a few of we CFIs who fly the Wings of Carolina Mooneys might be willing, especially those of us who, like me, carry CFI insurance separate from the club.

Heloman, I live near Pittsboro, only about an hour drive from you. If you can't find someone close, PM me and let's discuss. Most of my current Mooney time is in J's but I have some C time from about 20 years ago.

Thanks guys! I'm finding it's not so easy to get a local Mooney CFI. I can't believe I've owned an airplane for a week and haven't flown it yet! :o

What airport is your plane based at? I'm based near GSO, have my CFI. Not sure if I can help or not. Currently own and fly a 1975 M20F for 12 years now.

I don't instruct for a living and haven't for many years, but my CFI is current.
