carusoam Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 Interesting proof of the power of the iPhone in your pocket... Since it has found the warmth of a house across the street, it can at least see a warm house in front of your plane. The challenge of infrared technology is it is not very good at discerning things that are coated in water or are the same temperature as the surroundings. If you are trying to point the iPhone at a deer on the runway... I am challenged by using the iPhone to take pictures of an airplane that I know is there. Highly unlikely that it has any usability for me to point the lens anywhere with that much precision while I fly a plane... Let us know if you buy it or see some value in it. Best regards, -a- Quote
