Repair/replace fuel sump/fuel valve assembly

Currently I have just sealed off the sump because it leaked, the valve works fine. My mechanic wants to replace the assembly, is that necessary? I don't want to get it all apart and get stuck.

Give LASAR a call.  Depending on the assembly, it can probably be overhauled.  A year ago it was $350 and they had it for only a day.  Hope that helps.

They did mine for about half that but maybe it's a different model or needed less work. I don't have the one with the pull ring but it can be sumped from below.
