kevinw Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 Spring cleaning commenced over the weekend. What started out as a quick clean up turned into a full detail. Used the quick detailer on the the paint and then decided to get on a creeper to clean the belly with Speedy 500. I'm a car dealer and we use this stuff in our body shop. Worked great getting all the grease and oil off. This bird is as clean as she's ever been! 1 Quote
MyNameIsNobody Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 I tackled the belly this weekend too. Creepeer works great for all but the elevators. To low when I am most tired...Also cleaned glass and top of plane. Wax next. Quick flight and oil drained while I was cleaning. Ready for another flying season... Quote
ALP Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 How does the ultimate quick detailer compare to Meguiars regular quick detailer (purple bottle)? I have been using the regular for years and like it for quick wipe downs. Quote
kevinw Posted April 13, 2015 Author Report Posted April 13, 2015 How does the ultimate quick detailer compare to Meguiars regular quick detailer (purple bottle)? I have been using the regular for years and like it for quick wipe downs. Not really sure because I haven't tried the regular. This was recommended to me at the auto parts store. I started using this last summer and really liked it because it's a cleaner and a wax. Puts a nice shine on and gets light dirt off. I used it regularly last summer and other than scrubbing bugs, didn't ever wash it. Who knows...I'm probably paying more for the same thing. Quote

FlyDave Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Now we know why some people just stay single . . . Actually, shortly after I bought my first sailplane I was still a student pilot. One day my girlfriend - at the time - went to the airfield with me for a lesson, about 2 hours. When I came back from flying she had washed the entire plane and waxed 1/2 of it - without me even suggesting she do this. So I married her. 4 Quote
ALP Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 So...after you married her did she wax the other half? 1 Quote
