Do you mean the lower gear doors?  If so, it is possible but requires some linkage modifications due to the extra air loads imposed by the extra doors.  It will also make the J-bar harder to operate.

I wanted to put them on my plane too, so I asked a MSC about it and was cautioned by them not to do it because the extra load on my old Dukes gear motor might cause it to fail. They would go on though and I'm sure they would on an E as well, but it sounds like it might take additional muscle to get them up on manual gear.

Hi, I've been reading about the brake reversal how does that work? I looked at a very modern Mooney today and looked at my 50 year old gear doors and for the life of me can't see any advantage? I'm all about grass strips as well. Wouldn't want anything else dragging on take off.

I knew a guy up in Hendersonville,NC who added them to J-bar Mooney.  He could not manage the higher force required and developed a vacumn cylinder assist to the J-bar.  Not worth it I think.
