All this talk of a relief tube reminds me of an incident in 2002 back at the Tuscon Soaring club where I learned to fly.

An older gentleman (coincidentally named Bob as well - but not exactly a gentleman) landed in his beautiful 1 1/2 year old Alexander Schwitzer ASW-27 sailplane. As he rolled out to a stop near his trailer he popped the canopy open and, cursing all the way out of the cockpit, proceeded to exit and walk around the sailplane, still cursing. A friend and I walked over and asked him what was wrong. His response: "I went to take a leak and damm thing got away from me and I pi_sed all over the inside of my ship" and continued cursing. I don't remember if he had a relief tube or used a bottle, but he was referred to as "Pee Bob" after that.

4 years later, a guy showed up at Crystalaire (the gliderport I now fly out of) with his (new to him) very nice ASW-27. As we got to talking I realized he had bought Pee-Bob's ASW-27. I didn't have the heart to inform him of his ship's history. Ignorance is bliss, eh?
