Anyone thinking of attending the Mooney safety program at ROA in September?

I wonder why they picked Roanoke, VA?

 

While I love the area, I'm not a fan of the airport, or the FBO.  Any insight?

I was thinking about it - I'm not too far away and I'll need a BFR by December.  Depends on many other factors - I'd be a "maybe" right now.

I have no Idea as to why ROA. I've been to a few of these primarily in ACY.

They do a superb job and it's an excellent program.
