Norm G Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Does anyone have a hyd flap valve or the two internal springs. the P/N are, valve 750081-000 and the springs are HE-1516 , HE-1516-1. This is for my 1968 M20F. I've tried al the usual places, Tried the Mooney factory. No help. When I say no help I mean NO help. Their solution was to put in electric flaps. What's happening is I'm getting hyd bleed by when I pump the flaps down. Thanks Norm G Quote
Skypylott Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 I would try Lake Aero Styling, White Industries, Faeth Aircraft, etc. there are several salvage yards around someone is bound to have one. Lake Aero Styling specialize in Mooney's but there are several other places that would have one they were on hundreds of Mooney's in the 60s. Dodson Aircraft parts, Texas Air Salvage, Preferred Airparts, you'll find one. Try KRN Aviation too there is one out there! Tom Quote
N601RX Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 There are a couple of complete actuators on ebay right now. Lasar sells a seal kit, but it does not include new springs. Mcmaster has a huge selection of springs. Quote

Alan Fox Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 As soon as I have my hands on it I will call.... Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 It is probably not the springs. They need to be very light. re-coining the seat of the inlet ball will probably fix the problem. Quote
Norm G Posted May 14, 2014 Author Report Posted May 14, 2014 What happened is the mechanic took the valve apart (why I don't know). The flaps were retracting to fast for one thing and he wanted to change the Hyd fluid that was as old as the plane. Well one of the springs got lost and we haven't been able to find a replacement spring. The company that made the springs for Mooney went out of business and the people at Mooney don't have the specs for the springs. So if I had the correct springs or a good flap valve my plane wouldn't be stuck in the shop. Looks like n74795 has the valve I need. Thanks Norm G Quote
