DonMuncy Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 If any of you are into woodworking, Rockler and Woodcraft have wood turning kits for multiple tip screwdrivers that are handy for cowl removal and replacement. With Mooney logos, they make neat gifts for your Mooney friends. 1 Quote
DaV8or Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 So, you turn the wood handle on your wood lathe, then hammer the metal receiver in, apply decals and lacquer it up? Is that correct? Quote
Hank Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Turn the handle. Epoxy the metal receiver into the handle [it goes in about 4" deep.] Don't know where Don is getting the metal Mooney logos. I'll just have to settle for using my woodburner. Quote

DonMuncy Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 The metal logos were lapel pins that someone was giving out at the MAPA convention a few years ago. Unfortunately, I consumed the 3 or so I had. The others are paper, glued on and clear lacquered over. Quote
DonMuncy Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 Mike, I sent you a PM. Quote
smccray Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 I'm a lucky recipient of one of these screwdrivers. They're every bit as nice as you'd expect them to be. Sooo how do I become your friend????? LOL Move plane to KRBD and hangar it next to the best neighbor you could ask for. Thanks Don!!! Quote
