If any of you are into woodworking, Rockler and Woodcraft have wood turning kits for multiple tip screwdrivers that are handy for cowl removal and replacement. With Mooney logos, they make neat gifts for your Mooney friends.

So, you turn the wood handle on your wood lathe, then hammer the metal receiver in, apply decals and lacquer it up? Is that correct?

Turn the handle. Epoxy the metal receiver into the handle [it goes in about 4" deep.]

Don't know where Don is getting the metal Mooney logos. I'll just have to settle for using my woodburner.

Sooo how do I become your friend?????  LOL

The metal logos were lapel pins that someone was giving out at the MAPA convention a few years ago. Unfortunately, I consumed the 3 or so I had. The others are paper, glued on and clear lacquered over.

I'm a lucky recipient of one of these screwdrivers.  They're every bit as nice as you'd expect them to be.

Move plane to KRBD and hangar it next to the best neighbor you could ask for.  Thanks Don!!!
