  2. Hello, I am in search for a 600115-005 intake duct for a m20f. Would anyone happen to have or know one that is available for immediate purchase?
  3. Hey all! I'm looking for right seat co-pilot brakes parts does someone know anyone that have any? I’m looking to start instruct on my Mooney
  4. Hello, we have a Century 41 autopilot system. We sent two pitch servos to be repaired at Century but they lost them and I'm having a really hard time trying to find any on the market. #1C785-913P is the part number, Is there any alternative part # or other servo that would work or does anyone have one they are willing to sell? Thank you for your time.
  5. UPDATE: Looks like he found one on FB. I have a friend who's plane is down looking for a Lasar Doubler Pt# 680031-029. I was used by Mooney briefly in the 80s and with his ModWorks conversion. If anyone knows of a source, let me know. So far his mechanic has not been able to find one.
  6. Hi group, Hi group, Does anyone on the group have the rear door interior plastic they want to sell? I’m looking online but I haven’t been able to find yet.
  7. Hey. Recently a good friend purchased a gorgeous 1963 Mooney M20C. Brand new paint job, 500 hours left on the engine, brand new prop. After picking it up, after an exhausting flight across the country in turbulent weather he wrecked it in a gear-up landing. For a gear-up landing it's in relatively good shape but the mechanic he talked to thinks his insurance will probably just total it, and he is, understandably, very overwhelmed and distraught at the thought that the plane he's been pursuing for months and saving up for for years might be done after just getting it home. Does anyone have any insight as to how to help lower costs and save his plane? As far as we can tell, he needs the belly panels replaced, definitely needs a new prop (2 or 3 blade is fine), and potentially will need to overhaul the engine. Everything else seems to be okay, and neither wing was damaged.
  8. Hello, I am in search for a 600115-005 intake boot for a m20f. Would you happen to have or know one that is available for immediate purchase?
  9. Hi all, during my annual, it has come out that I will need new fuel caps as well as a cable assembly for the trim indicator for my M20C. Has anyone got any good source where I could find these? one piece PN 740019, Cable Assy Trim Indicator 2 each: Fuel caps Shaw Aerodevices, Part Nr 431-9 Any ideas are very much appreciated. On the similar topic: I recall that some company once made two caps which fit over the existing fuel caps, preventing water leakage. http://www.staysealed.com/flushcartdisabled.html But these are discontinued. Has anyone got a pair of these around for which he doesn't have a use anymore? I've been looking for them for a while. In recent months, I had two instances where a good gallon of water sept into the tanks after rain. Something needs to be done here. Airplane is a 1965 M20C, SN 3269 Many thanks Urs
  10. Explanations appreciated.
  11. I notice people searching for parts. Does the Mooney factory not produce parts for pre J models? I called the factory and was told that they have 85% parts in stock for older planes except for items such as plastic parts for the interior.
  12. I am in need of a mooney M20E electric trim switch. I spoke to the factory and they say it's all add ons. Would anybody happen to know who the manufacturer would have been for my money serial number 690007? Better yet a love to fight somebody with one.
  13. Dear all, I am sure many of you know Kerry McIntire's really useful shoptalk articles (knr-inc.com). I consider them a great resource. In more than one of them (ex: engine OH basics) he reminds us that for some older Mooney engines (among them certainly the 231’s TCM TSIO-360-GB, may be the -LB too) it has gotten more and more difficult to find good quality spare parts for an engine overhaul. This can have only become worse since this was written, or not ? Those of you with related good or bad experience during the last 10y, would you please share your experience? Thanks!
  14. Just wanted to let you know that LASAR is cleaning house! Right now, we have over 300 used parts and avionics for sale on our Ebay store. Everything is priced to sell, and all reasonable offers will be considered. Click here to check it out.
  15. So my Encore needs a couple items that should be inexpensive but are not. No surprise there. Local shop quoted me the following prices: ETA Pitot Heat switch 930023-105 $220.00 Oil filler cap 654715 $435.00 Any leads on where I can get these less expensively? Thanks!
  16. I am looking for parts for my Mooney . I am looking for push pull control tubes. Two of them And an elevator , right side , Smooth flap hing brackets, and aileron hinge brackets. Any one have a smashed up wing for cheap , for parts I have a 1967 M20 E
  17. Anybody out there have one of these layin' around? Of course, it would be good if it were in better shape than mine. The pictures may not show it very well, but the lower corners on this one are pretty beat up. 1975 M20F, part #600050-501 Thanks in advance
  18. Fellas, My plane is in annual and I'm attempting a light refurb on the interior. Since the panels are removed, I'm looking to fix the broken flap cable. The cable broke where it attaches near the flaps and now the flap indicator is forever stuck at T/O flaps. The cable is .058" diameter and approximately 8ft long. I need help finding a replacement inner cable or suitable ersatz inner cable. The only inner cable I could find on Aircraft Spruce is inner Bowden cable, but that is .078" and I don't think I'll be able to shove that through the outer cable housing. I emailed Don Maxwell last week for guidance, but have yet to hear back from him. I also emailed LASAR today, but wanted to check with you guys to see if any of you have a source or at least some recommendations. Thank you in advance! v/r, Raygun
  19. Looking for seats for a 1990 M20J Gilles
  20. Hello everyone, I am new to the forum ... so, thank you for allowing me to join! I have heard great things about the group and, now owning a Mooney, I thought that I'd jump right in! I have a J-model for which I would like to purchase some parts, in particular several inspection covers, the wing-tip and leading-edge lenses, and perhaps a few miscellaneous parts like fuel gage sending units, etc., that are found to need replacement. I spoke with the factory and, indeed, they are supplying parts for our lovely birds, but we are relegating to buying them through a service center. Not a bad thing, necessarily, since they can help with getting the exact right part, etc., but there is the question of the price that they will charge. The factory does not provide an MSRP list to general customers and said that the service centers are free to set their own pricing. Has anyone found a service center which is particularly good at being helpful while charging a fair, yet not exhorbitant, price for parts? Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated ... by everyone in the forum, not just me, I would assume!! Thanks ... and, fair skies! Andy
  21. I have a SWTA "201" windshield available in good condition. I initially purchased the windshield hoping to install it in my C model, but was unable to do so since I did not have the STC. I believe this would be a good backup or replacement windshield for anyone that currently has the SWTA STC installed. Additionally, I have the retaining strap that mounts on the front if you happen to need that. I'll grab some pictures when I go to the hangar this weekend. Make me an offer. Thanks!
  22. I have been searching for the most recent maintenance manual (Rev 10-83) for my 68C with no success. I have found several manuals, to include parts and maintenance, for 67 models and below. Does anyone have a digital copy of a MM for the 68C even if it is not the latest revision? Also, if anyone needs the manuals for 67 and below I can share those if you need them.
