My ships TiT and the edm700 read almost exactly the same. 18 gph is actually a little low for me, maybe I'm usually running 27.5 or 28 inches..... Tend to run a little more power in a head wind and it seems like a headwind always flows a touch more gph than a tail wind for some reason. Another thing mine has done since last annual is seem to flow a little less. I always used to be at 19.5 to 20gph, probably 27.5 or 28" always 2400rpm. I'm not sure if the points have worn a little or at annual we changed to all fine wire plugs, mine normal type plugs were worn and these fine wire were free.

Props to you !

27"mp and 2400rpm,1600TiT, 18gph, without looking maybe 72% power ? Not pushing it at all.

Another vote for Bob based on my experience with him. He was "THE" man at King for many years. I seriously doubt anyone knows more about them than Bob. My bill was (without checking) $450

Not much advice but it won't hurt and doesn't cost anything :-)

Everyone has their mission and their own perfect airplane/Mooney. I love them all (Mooney's) but even after 11 years with my TLS (7 with a 201) I still end flights with a huge smile on my face Really just a typical flight in my bird, did have a five knot tailwind (I'll take it) This was coming home from the Mooney Summit (GREAT time btw) whoever coined the words "magic carpet" (Coy Jacobs? :-) ) got it right ! I see a Mooney on the ramp and I might as well be looking at a leggy blond. I smile. They look fast just sitting still ! I know I'm preaching to the choir LOL

Had to be BRAGGING ! :-)

Great time. Thanks to Mike and everyone that puts this on....special kudos to the ladies ! It was really nice to put some faces to the names too. Nice weather for the trip home was a good bonus !

I had a J for seven years too. Great airplane.

Seems like he is selling more than he can make/keep up with so he is not interested in donating/advertising. Wrong approach IMO, Mooney guys GOT to stick together :-) I need to try my wife's out....I just wish the little control box didn't seem so cheaply made.

I imagine that Mike is asking in regards to the Bill Gilliland foundation that helps Mooney pilot families in their time of need. http://www.mooneysummit.com

Really ? Eleven years of Bravo ownership and I have delayed 1 one day due to it being turbocharged. In fact, my dispatch rate is I guess 100% ? I don't recall ever having to cancel, I may leave a few hours early or a few hours late for thunderstorms. There have been several times that if not turbo I would have stayed on the ground though. Possible with an Ovation but it wouldn't have been fun (as in climbing to 20,000+ to top weather and even then between huge build ups. So yea, when you speak of a Bravo I'm saying you don't have a clue ;-) His mission, his location and TKS may be a must. In Georgia and my typical directions of flight it's always been a non issue. Now that I'm frequenting Baltimore it may become a hinderance. I LOVE the guys that have never owned a Bravo but yet talk about how bad the maintenance is "rolleyes" :-)

Well, his loss. I may drop an email to him. Another question, for donations/raffle tickets best to do that now or wait until the summit ?

Lots of Mooney's have had gear ups. The key IMO is a prebuy by someone that really knows their Mooney's. Hopefully it was repaired by an MSC or Mooney specialist. Hours since repair ? It's been a long time so very well could be a non issue.

I want the G5 for my new (to me) experimental. Currently it has airspeed and airspeed and airspeed, not so great in the clouds (don't ask how I know, just glad to be alive !!)

Look at the Quiet Technology Halo too. After my wife's in ear Lightspeeds quit I bought her these, no complaints. There are also quite a few guys out there that give great reviews (as seen on Beech talk and personally seeing them in the field) I believe there is a money back guarantee (call and speak with him) AND the owner of the company is a Mooney Owner. He is an ear Doctor and lives in Mississippi. i haven't tried them yet but plan on it. There is supposed to be a learning curve, 3 or 4 flights but that may only apply to someone that flies with headsets a lot. http://www.quiettechnologies.com edit, just saw the above post...another good review Also notice 201er pulling up on each ear while inserting the ear piece. That's supposed to be a great help in sealing the noise out.

Anyone going to Triple Tree?
Tony Armour replied to Wildhorsesracing's topic in Miscellaneous Aviation Talk
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I flew the Just Superstol over Saturday morning and came back Sunday. There were quite a few Mooney's. Every time I saw one landing or taking off.....just awesome. I'll probably never be without one as long as I can fly. There is a chili cooking there later this year ? I wouldn't hesitant to land mine there. -

Several folks I know have said that you can't understand a dang thing the Chinese students say. Doesnt really matter if you are on the wrong frequency.

From another forum: Directly from witnesses. The Bonanza radio was not tuned to Carrollton CTAF but to Newnan. He was on final. The student and instructor turned base to final into and below the bonanza. The are giving the instructor credit for not looking. But evidently neither was looking.
