  2. Quote: N601RX Just don't let the extender get away and end up in the peddles
  3. Quote: garytex Oh it's nice to hear quotes from "The Jerk" When I do that around the office, the 30 somethings look at me like I've grown a third head. "The what?" they say, and don't think extra work would be any fun at all.
  4. Age and Belly have caught up with me (well not really - but it is a pain) - so necessity being the motherhood of invention....... It only fits on the selector one way - the bend in the pipe indicates the position of the selector - works great!!!!
  5. I quit smoking.... better for my health (duh) and the savings pays for my hangar.
  6. Quote: jetdriven It sits between them. see attached photos. I am not recommending an overhaul based on a hunch, but the only folks badmouthing the roller cam dont overhaul them and havent seen one fail. I heard it too.

  8. Trip to Waukesha from Houston took a little over seven hours. Headwind all the way airspeed (if I did it right on the garmin was 152 kts. So it looks like an increase of 6-7 kts. It actually wouldn't matter if I didn't get an increase cause the visibility and change in curb appeal is well worth the investment. We are parked close to the silo between vintage and ultralights.
  9. Where's the caravan parked at (area / row)
  10. Not mine but I found these on EBAY if anyone has a need LINK
  11. I don't know what you are all talking about........ that was a perfectly executed two in one touch and go finished with a tenative full stop to field test the brakes.
  12. Don't forget your signs for when you land .... I printed off all even though I plan to camp in Vintage.
  13. The plan is to go up Wednesday - Here it is all sealed in - I came up short on some rivets so that is going to happen early this week then paint, then do a compass swing.
  14. Quote: Antares Where do you guys keep your logbooks?
  15. Quote: sellis We are now making the cowl decks and windshield retainers and supplying them to LASAR.
  16. Quote: jpjp Does the LASAR mod include a new glareshield or do they modify that as well? Does the windshield mod leave a gap between the original glareshield and new windshield? If so how does that get covered?
  17. cowl deck in place and drilled
  18. And for those of us with cable tachs - not a bad idea to pull the core and inspect it lube it up once in a while if it looks dry ! A judicious amount of molly lube does the cables well.
  19. Robert - seriously, if you continue to practice these habits your going to have a loss of control on the runway or drive your prop into the pavement after a few bounces. Hopefully you will walk away unscathed. These aren't personal attacks going on here - learn from others experiences.
