  1. I would but I am kinda on the otherside of the world so I can't for a while. Sorry! When I get back I can though!
  2. I don't see why you have to put the ring like under the wing? I have normal bolts that go there. Thats how it was when I got the plane and it looks fine and I have a strap connected to it, looks good like anybody elses would!
  3. I have at least 4-6 places for bolts to hold down straps in the cargo area. They are all under the seat. Both on the back side and below the seat back.
  4. That is one beautifu F model... It has a everything you need for 10K more than the E. The avionics alone are worth more in the F than in the E. Plus in the F you have a new interior (worth another ) $8-12K Big picture, don't settle till you talk to both owners. They both look good, but boy does it look like some TLC was given to the F! Goodluck and good choice on the Mooney!
  5. Beautiful! Congrats!
  6. Have a good flight!
  7. If I ever went back to not landing on grass, dirt, gravel whatever then I might as well go back to renting a darn airplane at a flying club cause jeeze...I couldn't do it there. Its a plane, enjoy it for all its worth grass dirt and asphalt!
  8. Concord. They have extra cranking power and they are fully sealed. I had GILL and it died on me after about a year. So Forget the GILL go with a Concord! (more expensive but worth it in the long run)
  9. I go into gravel strips all the time. The worst nick I ever had was at a nice long paved field not a gravel/grass/dirt field!
  10. That takes away Useful load so its def not worth it!
  11. Was that 7.5k for both tanks or just one tank and does it cause any problems with your paint?
  12. I've had this happen as well. Thats why you'll see the little numbers on the switch. Thats the AMPS for the switch/breaker that it is!
  13. I agree 1500' is a plenty for a Mooney. I've done about 900ft before and thats as small as i'll go!
  14. Well one thing I'll add is if you have your prop off you might as well have them paint it....if it needs paint that is! When I had mine off I had them paint it, made sense at the time!
  15. Ps if ya'll want some more pictures or anything just let me know and i'll go shoot some! Always happy to help!
  16. Awesome thats good to hear! And yes my A&P with an IA signed it off as a minor modification. Since really I only changed 2 simple things. And yes I did remove the springs. And you sit a lower in your seat which actually seems to make a little extra room if you ask me! I had 4 people in the plane with it moded....it was up of course! But they were in the front Pilot-5'7" copilot 6'1" rear seaters- 5'10" and 6'3". And I have used the seat down so many times now with a whole bunch of stuff its AWESOME!!!!!
  17. Just curious has this helped anyone?
  18. You don't have any sing lighters in the plane? odd!
  19. I'll be there for the BBQ plus my buddy so 2 of us at the BBQ sunday!
  20. To help avoid any overheat I will always set the iPad face down on my lap or whoever is sitting in the right seat & of course if nobody is sitting there then I just put it there upside down. (thats for the 3G version) Anything I can do to minimize the risk of an overheat! Plus I don't need to look at the chart the whole flight. I just need to reference it every so often, or use it to change music haha! Still haven't had the overheat we'll see! And Mitch for the gray area's I've noticed that as well when you zoom in beyond what it'll let you. Usually you can still see the intersections/chart info just not at a 200% zoom like you can on skyvector.com
  21. Yes let me see....130 X way to hot to fly= holy crap its way to hot to fly/ its just to hot out to be outside = HOLY COW ITS HOT!! Okay really... 54 degrees C would make the 130 FT MSL fields density altitude 4430FT density altitude HOLY CRAP! But the thing is when it comes to the jet (C-17) you cannot put numbers in the computer above 49C so we couldn't fly either way.
  22. i tell you I am really can't wait....as a matter of fact I can't wait to just get home away from the place I am in....todays high was 130degrees....yes i said 130...talk about hot!
  23. maybe you should call her Victoria! Then it'll be a woman....and well then you can talk sweet to her!
  24. I had my C model on a nice cold day up to 18,400. I was by myself and at the time lightly loaded. But I've also taken off with full fuel and bags plus me equal to 2 folks and she climbed up to 17200 with no problems in a circle. I love her performance!
