  2. I've been watching this an hour or so now. I am pretty impressed. The guy has extended range tanks. (88gal totoal) Makes me want to go out and get the LR tanks myself! http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N9208M
  3. I sent it to Bruce he said he'll upload it and leave a link! Im counting on him! Thanks guys, what do yall think so far, I know a few said it made sense how about the rest of you!?
  4. Does anyone know a way to upload this file and set it to a link or something? I have been getting alot of requests and it would just be easier if I could have someone get it themselves? Otherwise I love helping yall!

  6. Okay guys, I cannot upload the file here, at least I don't know how to! So If you would like the how to guide give you your email through here or a PM and i'll send it off to you. If you can think of a way to upload it here, I am all ears! Hope this helps you all! As a reminder, what you do is not my responsibility!!
  7. I don't think he was correct in his statement at all. I have never had a problem with my girl doing anything of the sort.
  8. Still working on the pictures I went ahead and tested things out. I can easily fit a scooter like this http://www.x-tremescooters.com/gas_scooters/xg550/xg550.html in the back of the plane. In fact I am going to purchase another one like it so I can go places and have a way to get around quickly when I land. Of course that would be when there is only 1 other person with me....80% of the time! Pretty excited!!! I need to check the size of the pins I used to hold the seat up, but you will need 2 spacers. They are 10-32 steel or aluminum. The other is going to be 2 hitch pins that are the same size of the bolt currently holding up the seat. I am going to possibly fly tonight and try and take some pictures then give a detailed write up tomorrow if time permits. Again, for those that are curious this mod took me maybe a 2 days full work to complete nicely, thats including interior changes!
  9. And if you want to know what the end product is there will be several of us there...I know i'll have a sign in front of my plane so all know who did such a great job!
  10. I will post how to do it soon. According to my mechanic because we only changed one thing its considered a Minor modification and does not require FAA field approval, only a log book entry by an IA. More to come along with instructions & pictures.
  11. Sorry guys I guess the picture didn't upload last night like I thought it would. All in All i spent less than $10 in stuff to make the seat actually move. But then you have the uphulstery and carpet and making things look pretty! I spent I think less than $200 in supplies to have this completed. Oh...and I need a new back after working inside hunched over for hours and hours ...eyyY! Well worth it though!
  12. here is the in progress picture. I have been puttin new insulation in and doing the seat mod....its been interesting! I having fun and not having fun. I do however look forward to finishing the seat.
  13. Lets just say I should have folding seats in by the end of the weekend...well it fold now...but completed by Mon hopefully. And the cost will be less than $50 in parts, not including the upholstry changes. Pictures to come. Haven't had my mechanic spend more than 1hr with me on it so far.
  14. Right after I got my airplane painted in Jan I was headed home and ended up having to divert for fuel due to a stiff headwind. A little background, when I prepare to land I drop the gear upon entering the downwind or abeam the numbers if im not going really fast. I then check its down on the base, final and one last time look at the green light when I am about to flare. When I check it I physically use my hand to ensure the gear is locked (Manual gear) and then touch the light to confirm I have a green light. "Gear down and locked got a green!" Well I had been flying for several hours and I was getting a bit tired. I did the normal check on the downwind, base, final. Right when I was about to flare I look at the green light one last time and it was out! Without thought I immediately pushed the throttle to full power as my heart dropped thinking NO NO I JUST GOT IT PAINTED! Immediately I look and of course the handle is down. I had 4500 ft of runway still so I pulled the power and landed. And what seemed like forever was only a matter of 5 seconds! It scared me to death. Turns out that I pushed the light and somehow made it go off. I touched it and it came back on. One of my scariest gear moments yet!
  15. There is no way I can land this airplane! (examiner looks at watch) "Well, I bet in 2 hours your going to land this plane weather you think you can or not!"
  16. Remember you can always add things to your airplane... Ie the 201 window isn't all that common but I installed mine and it took me about a week with help of course. And i love it! Plus you have LASAR just up the road from you!
  17. Mitch has an Ovation...MITCH Were are you!!!! He'll be along soon!
  18. Quote: edgargravel On mine, two pumps is for take off (practice pumping without looking and then check the result), third pump on base (if I need it) and fourth pump on final (depending on the crosswinds of course). I have heard that the first two pumps increase lift on our wings. The third and fourth increase drag.
  19. The only thing i've done so far was replace a seal. That cost me about $0.50 and took me all of maybe 30 minutes to do on my own...after my mechanic told me what to do! I probably wont have to worry about it for another decade now haha!
  20. That is the first thing I expect to hear. And if you don't hear it ask for it. It never hurts to ask!
