  1. And I am down in in Vacaville at Nut Tree with a heavily modified 1965 C model. So If you want to see one with the mods I got em!
  2. Flew to califorina to look at a house I ended up not buying! haha 7.6hrs of flying and only 65 gallons......God I love my Mooney!
  3. 1000 Ft Bull Run Oregon Very fun! http://www.shortfield.com/index.php?option=com_jumi&fileid=5&Itemid=125&snum=sf_bullrun&initlat=NaN&initlong=NaN
  4. I have several of those shades with suction cups, I can put them any place I need and then they fold up real nice in the seat pocket! They are usually to give kids shade etc. I just found some solid black ones, and I can still see through them....maybe not to see a plane but they move easily for that!
  5. Immediately.
  6. I had my line cracked after takeoff it was right in a bend and wasn't really visible. I replaced the line it was easy and relitively quick....once I found the line! This happened last summer while I was over on the East coast....on a saturday. Thankfully I landed at Hampton field and they are awesome there!
  7. I am so used to putting my flaps up for all the short fields I go to I've made it habbit and it really does help braking action getting them up quickly! The flap handle is just to the right of the throttle a bit so it's a fluid motion for me! Kind of like putting my gear up right after takeoff!
  8. Sorry KSmooniac, I tried to delete that after it accidently posted with your account Anyway, I HAVE...the mod and I love it soooo much! I've never experienced an oil change the hard way. Any airplane I get in the future....or build will have the mod!
  9. i hope this jerry guy flies the airplane....This guy has issues. And I don't think we want to have a buy have an accident to take him down. Why do we have to have someone die for things to change.... Maybe we can stop it before someone dies. my 2 cents
  10. I tell you what its worth your life....if that makes a difference. I am lucky to have been to this class 2 times now. (we get refreshers every 5 years) and its great to know what my symptons of hypoxia are. Check this video out on youtube...its part 1 of 5...it'll take you about 30-40 min of watching but it just shows what can happen to a pilot that doesn't know or understand his symtoms of hypoxia. Do you know yours? My body gets warm, my feet and tingle, vision starts to get hazy and its just all down hill from there! video very tragic:
  11. Quote: N601RX The training is basically free. Just get your CFI or Safety Pilot and go with you. Give them oxygen, but leave yours off. Add a video camera if you want.
  12. Darn it! I even stopped in up in Jonesboro! haha Well hopefully I can find out one the West coast! . Well, thats no good parker....women..... But back onto the main thread...goodluck with getting your wife to go up in time.
  13. I just lost a girlfriend to this problem. Thankfully I am young and from now on date #2 will be going flying! It's hard when the person you care about the most doesn't care for what you do, well that was my situation. If she supports you thats awesome. And I know im young, so if any of you have mid 20's daughters that are cute & single....I'll send a picture of my plane! haha
  14. wow....just wow! I have an experienced Mooney A&P IA. Not he's not a MSC but he does about 10+ Mooneys a year oh...and his own! Very good mechanic and his shop rate is great. I called a MSC shop in CA about something and asked the shop rate... It was $105 an hour...I hung up the phone. I don't think anyone is worth that much, thats rediculous. Maybe thats how ya'll are seeing such expensive annuals.
  15. HOLY CRAP! knock on wood...but I do all owner assisted annuals and the most I've had in the last 3 years was around 2AMU's but that was because she was about to go in for a paint job!
