Thanks, my friend. Having owned my prior Mooney, myself, for 20 years, a plane partnership makes me more uncomfortable than marriage, although I lucked out on that score. A 2004/5 Ovation DX in pristine condition would, however, be tempting.

Hawk is the best, on either coast, without a doubt. The number of happy Mooney customers down here is amazing, and you know how picky and frugal we can be. Joe has been painting Mooney aircraft for over 30 years, and he STILL doesn't sit in an office. Nice paint scheme Parker, and I know what you mean.

Don....just read the entire thread, and so sorry for your aggravation. Snuff happens, and this stuff stinks. Hoping the insurance adjuster takes care of you and your baby. Good luck, my friend. A commercial flight to Longview should be a treat.

Our last event had a light turnout, in the rain, with 2 Mooneys bringing 3 people to lunch at Lake Wales. The food was GREAT! Ruth and I were up North in the seaplane, so don’t know much about it, but I did hear that the airport did a good job of transporting the three to lunch. Our next event will be this Saturday, September 8, at Winter Haven (GIF). The restaurant on the airport is still closed for remodeling so the airport manager has rented a van to take us to Floridino’s Italian Kitchen. All events start at 11:30. Please check your e-mail before attending as sometimes I make last minute changes for various reasons. Future Schedule September 8, Winter Haven (GIF) October 13, Flagler (FIN) November 10, Vero Beach (VRB) December 8, Punta Gorda (PGD) I really appreciate it if you can e-mail me (daveanruth@aol.com) by Thursday night of the week of the event and let me know if you are going to try to make it, so I can call the restaurant on Friday with a head count. No one is obligated to come if they told me they are coming and can’t make it for mechanical, weather, health, or any other reason. Hope to see you soon, Dave and Ruth
