  1. I appreciate that. I figured that was the case but just wanted to check and make sure. Of course there are a lot of you in here with so much knowledge.
  2. I like the bigger size of this so I am not asking about anything other than the M20G. Anything I should be aware of with the limited number of them that were made? Issues getting parts or do they share a lot with other long body models? What about the engine? Any issues getting parts or cylinders for it? I know years ago the -A1A narrow deck had issues being found, so wasn't sure if that might also be the case for this one. Any thing else I should be aware of? Good, bad or just different? The last Mooney I owned as an M20A. Thanks for all the help!
  3. Just don't do it if you have a boat! That will get taxed to high heaven
  4. Really! I'll have to fly up there more often and find out. Always seems like the lower winds are forecasted better whenever I try and go anywhere. Although I am usually getting about 155-158TAS around 4-7k. Albeit mine is MPH and not Knots.
  5. What sort of speeds are you seeing?
  6. Sam, also if you ever intend to put an autopilot into it you will be severely limited. AKA no new tech.
  7. It's okay. I don't want to fly any safer than I already am. /end sarcasm
  8. What I was referring to was hardware issues. Computer failures. Software not loading. Equipment breaking/not working.
  9. I thought about it, but the reviews don't seem to be very promising for the equipment. I hope you like it!
  10. Oxygen in those concentrations will also sterilize. Now if there are other particles, dust, etc... those would remain. But would also be sterile.
  11. Try Avemco
  12. According to the brochure it also comes with a mount.
  13. Yes mine is an A model. It used to be listed on G's website but has since been removed. I've talked to and will again talk with one of the Garmin tech's in charge of getting planes in and was excited for mine. However he says he is pushing for it but doesn't see much hope at this time (that was from our conversation in April 2021). Apparently they have concerns over lightning strikes and their servo's welding up and they don't know how to make a work around for a wood wing. So as far as I know all the wood wing planes are ineligible.
  14. I would like to agree with you but since mine is an earlier model, it looks like it has been cut (possibly permanently) from them even attempting to certify my model
  15. Good thing ebay doesn't have a comment section for items. Those would have quite the wall of shame!!!
  16. This panel? I have dual exhaust. This is on the pilots side.
  17. Any pireps about them?
  18. Dumb question. What is the exhaust cavity? I've had the cowling off and can see all of the exhaust system but not sure where that is or where the master cylinder is located. Thanks for the help.
  19. M20A. Ever since I got my plan if I turn the nosewheel too far it seemed like the brakes would lock up some and get hard to push. Easy fix, don't turn so sharp. Last year at annual my mechanic asked about it. This year after getting it back from annual it's even worse. I did get all new tires and tubes but that shouldn't do anything. I'm not even actually sure that its the brakes locking up. But it feels like it and it is even harder to push now than it was before. Anyone have any experience with this. Thoughts on where to start.
  20. Aint that the truth!
  21. Probably this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324678472157?hash=item4b985851dd:g:J0cAAOSw2hhgyM60 That ad alone is sketchy as F. Little to no info and a timed out engine. Who knows what avionics are in it. And been sitting since 2016. But to each their own I guess.
  22. Just heard from Avemco. Rates going down 10% because I've been with them for a year. And will go down another 9% after another 75 hours. This appears to be my first real break in insurance since I I've owned my Mooney.
  23. So if you just have a Brittain wing leveler would you just need to add the B11 and a servo control valve to get navigation/vor tracking? Asking because this looks like my only option of an autopilot since nothing is happening for the M20A's with Garmin and probably Tru-trak
  24. Instrument didn't help me much when I got mine. But could have been the low hours as well. Try Avemco. They are independent of the others so unless you call them, you won't get the same quote like all the other companies get. Insurance right now just flat out sucks!
