  1. Another AeroComfort joint! https://aerocomfort.com/mooney/
  2. I secured mine to an existing screwhole at the bottom of the radio stack. It’s an L-shaped bracket that gives the snap something to fasten to.
  3. Their website doesn't really explain the differences between these. Which one is better for the Mooney? It's also off-putting that you can't select Mooney from the drop-down menu... should I order the "Bonanza" one or the "210" one? Maybe the "Arrow"? Could someone who has one please share which exact model they have? https://redlineaviation.com/ul-hand-tow-bar/ https://redlineaviation.com/be-3-tow-bar/
  4. Windshield cleaner: I use Plexus or Prist. Any shop towels will work, just make sure they're soft and won't scratch. M20J towbar: I might be willing to send you mine if I can score one of the Redline ones. Anyone know if Redline lets you pick it up? I'm close to SEE... Fuel tester: I have the original that came with mine. But I have a GATS jar so I don't need it. PM me if you'd like to work something out. Stratus vs. Sentry: I vote Sentry. Weighs less (stays on your window better), has a CO monitor. I've owned both, and if I was going to buy one again I'd get a Sentry. Packing list: Definitely oil. Oil funnel. Screwdriver (better to get the set with both Philips and flat-head). Batteries for headsets. Flashlights, head lamps. Air pressure checker. If you don't have LED lights, replacement bulbs for your nav lights (keep in a padded box). Sick bags for pax, and a pee-pee solution. Invest in some airframe screws (Aircraft Spruce sells screw sets) in case you lose some. I checked the plane's belly in my first couple months and ownership and found three missing! Control wheel locks: After calling the company directly (referred by Spruce) to help me pick the right one, I got this, and it works great: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/controlsaver13-15505.php?clickkey=4469 Anything else?: Aircraft cover, if you don't have one already. Amount of coverage depending on the weather and how long you expect to leave the plane out during trips. BatteryMinder.
  5. @OSUAV8TER sells fluorosilicone rings that might last longer. Feels like I tag him so much I should be getting a commission! But I'll settle for Whelen making our LED recog and wingtip/rear-facing position lights https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/products.html
  6. You might let @jgarrison know you're looking; that's how I found mine (used).
  7. Mine came pretty quickly, so I'm tagging @OSUAV8TER.
  8. How 'sealed' is your hangar to the outside air? I would expect to lose quite a bit of the dehumidifier's effectiveness to the gaps under my door and the lack of any insulation.
  9. The content mines wait for no man.
  10. Are you dehumidifying the hangar or just the engine? If the former, I don't even need to see it, I know I'm already jealous of your hangar!
  11. I've only had my plane for less than two years and am already acquiring an inventory of Stuff. Too much Stuff. Please tell me what you need! From a 28V aircraft. Package deals and creative pricing encouraged. Edit 1 (1/17/22): Updating inventory.
  12. Hey! Get in line, pal!
  13. I am expecting to be in LA more often whenever this whole pandemic thing allows. I plan to keep my other hangar but would like to find some covered space in Santa Monica so the plane doesn’t have to sit outside. Just need a corner somewhere and reliable access for going back and forth between bases. Will be a minimal footprint, the vast majority of my “hangar stuff” will remain in the other one. Probably little more than the plane and an electric scooter, maybe a toolbox or small chest for supplies. Please PM to discuss! Will also consider TOA, EMT, BUR, VNY, or HHR but strongly prefer SMO.
  14. I love my Switcheon, just passed the year mark recently. Does it have the hardware necessary to sense humidity on board also, or just temperature? Having the temp is great but being able to read the humidity in the app from wherever I am would be even better. @OSUAV8TER
  15. Probably not much below 10,000, but I have no experience of my own.
  16. Yet another winner from the marketing geniuses at Mooney. /s
  17. How about I trade you: my plane, two dollars, and, uh ... a Casio!
  18. Any chance you've got another one of these? Got a failed TC and exploring replacement options. @Alan Fox
  19. Sounds like the current price is "an offer he couldn't refuse."
  20. It might have rolled out of the factory that way, during the very brief Aerostar ownership period...
