  1. I had one come partially loose while out on a trip to Telluride. I taped it with painters tape and flew home before addressing a fix for it.
  2. I buy a refundable commercial ticket 30 days out for all trips that are time sensitive so I don't have the pressure you are facing now... And I'm instrument rated.
  3. No, that is not how mine or others have been configured. The rudder trim stays. It is used as before and it has to be set for each phase of flight. The correct "switchology" (to my understanding) is to disable the YD as you move from one phase of flight to another, use the rudder trim to center the "ball" (now a triangle on any EAI), then re engage the YD.
  4. Aircraft Hose Store. Send your hoses to them and they will send back new ones in about 5 days. https://aircrafthosestore.com/
  5. My wife showed me these photos from FB before you posted here... We were both were blown away! Beautiful job and great choice!
  6. I agree and that's my plan.
  7. My engine has approximately 1650 hrs SMOH and it has had the cylinders replaced within the last 300 hrs as well as overhauled Turbo and wastegate, engine driven fuel pump, prop governor, mags (of course). I fabricated new baffles a while back from the thicker, stiffer silicone material.
  8. All I can think about when I read your post is: "Ohhhh, wash-rack...fancy! All we have is a five gallon bucket and a sun-damaged hose! (the brush went missing a while back)"
  9. Hi All Bravo owners....I am interested to know how long you (or a previous owner) have run your Bravo's engine before overhaul. Thanks in advance for participating in the poll...
  10. What a great narrative! Thanks Skip!
  11. That's like saying that the engine logs stay with the previous owner.
  12. I bought the local maintenance shop and I work there as the apprentice mechanic. At some point I will have the experience required. I can tell you that I have been humbled by the depth of knowledge and skill that is required to do work at it's highest level. Once I got a view from within, I threw all timelines out the window and decided to focus instead on really learning each skill that I was presented with the opportunity to learn. Please PM me if you would like to chat
  13. I do not have any advice on troubleshooting but I do have several servos that I have for sale - cheap. If you find you need another one, please let me know.... Alex 601-470-7092
  14. No, you are not. The OP is not a victim…
  15. Come on guys and gals, this is not complicated….
  16. A thorough cleaning and re lube of all of the control pushrod linkages will help but it's a job that requires ideally that the aircraft is jacked up, belly panels and other inspection panels removed and lots of patience. There are other items too like the trim wheel actuator etc that could need attention. In my case, I installed a brand new four servo Garmin autopilot and I had a persistent issue of the Yaw damper servo kicking off. The root cause turned out to be a missing bushing that acts as a sleeve for a retaining bolt for a control horn that is a component of the rudder / elevator interconnect. It's buried inside the tail section. I assume this was not installed properly way back in the mid 2000's when the plane was repainted. My point of this story is, a myriad of things could be the cause.
  17. So sad to hear this. Unfortunately, your first hint was that he was self dealing behind his employer's back. It sounds to me like you are in receipt of stolen property (I'm not an attorney, BTW). Ask an attorney for next steps (probably press charges on the thief, surrender the unit and cut your losses) and good luck.
  18. Pull the dipstick up half way, position the top of the nozzle of the oil container against the side of the dipstick and slowly tilt the container. The oil will drain down the length of the dipstick into the sump. Be careful to protect the dipstick from the wind though. No messy funnels or rags needed.
  19. Do you have the plane as well?
  20. Call Don Maxwell...
  21. I live in Hattiesburg, MS and I have a 1995 Bravo. I'll be happy to take you up some time. 601-470-7092. . Alex Touchstone
  22. You're going to want turbo for Colorado flying, IMHO.. You're not going to find a Bravo with AC, let alone both. Therefore, Bravo with or without FIKI is your choice for this mission Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  23. A good FIKI Bravo with long range tanks would be in that price range and might offer some advantages (distance between stops and more weather options) but it will be slower than was what you have now
  24. My guess is 20% increased value on average.
