  1. Don’s advice above is spot on. Get the most Mooney you can and enjoy it. As far as which model for your size. I have a 67 F and at 6’3” and 220 lbs I’m very comfortable in the plane. The F model is 10” longer and that really translates to both front and back seat comfort. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Just had Paul Loewen replace my seats last week and I really appreciate the price and his expertise. Both my front seats were cracked in multiple places. Give them a call. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi,

Just a quick note to welcome you to the West Coast Mooney Club!  We will be having some formal and informal gatherings this year with the first one coming up May 10-11 at Oceano Airport.  Hope you can make it out.

Looking forward to meeting you and to seeing your 67 F.  I have one as well. N9268M. Where are you based?

      Hello Michael,

I am planning on flying down to Oceano on that Saturday morning and will see you then.  I am based at KSQL, which is on the peninsula just south of San Francisco.  Actually my bird is a 66C, wish I had an F, but I do love my bird.

      Paul

  5. Just remembered you were using the voice recognition with your G750. I have that in my 67 F with my G650. I love how it reduced your workload.
  6. A 7 day Trip with Dad doing something we both love is precious time invested. Doesn’t happen often. I’d love to do that with my dad but at 85 his health precludes a trip like that. Perhaps if he can comfortably get up and into my Mooney a nice flight around Palm Springs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thoroughly enjoyed watching you and your dad share this experience. Really nice flying as well. You looked a little emotional at the end and rightly so. Couldn’t quite make out what your dad said at the end though. Thanks for posting. Great job! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sorry I couldn’t get there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Not sure the weather is going to allow my flight from LA this Sunday. Too bad. I was looking forward to seeing everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Not just Ca locations. Open to anywhere with the ability to handle a nice group of Planes, food, events...etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I agree. I hope to have some great options in the next week or so. I really appreciate everyone’s participation in this thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Lee Vining is a great location close to a quaint town and great fishing and camping areas like Lundy Lake. A bit remote though with no services as far as I know but very beautiful area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for sharing that information. Looks like there are some nice locations to enjoy. I’ll update the west Coast Mooney Group and others when the plans come together. Hope to get more location ideas from everyone else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. So happy to hear this Don. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. You might want to see if you can have the seller bring it up to LASAR in Lakeport, Ca. Only about a 2 hr flight and One of the top Mooney centers on the West Coast and a West Coast Mooney Club sponsor. Great service and affordable. #LASAR. #WestcoastMooneyClub Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Everything said above regarding transition, useful loan and cabin comfort holds true. I purchased my 67 Mooney M20F two months prior to getting my PPL certificate. My insurance first year was in the $2400.00 range because I did not have a complex endorsement or PPL yet. I have since finished my transition training and had my PPL since Feb 2018. My insurance this year is in the $1,600.00 range. I LOVE MY PLANE. Fly the numbers and you can just about put it down anywhere you want. I am 6'3 and 230 Lbs. and I can stretch out fully in cruise without issues. Since you are local (I'm in Santa Monica) I suggest getting with Don Kaye or Mike Jesch for your transition training. You can find their contact info online at www.TheMooneyFlyer.com Hope you join us as a Mooniac and if you do please join the West Coast Mooney Clun here at MooneySpace. Good Luck #MooneyZoom
  22. I’ve read the thread. My comment was not pointed at anyone in particular. Just a statement that I’d like to see our conversations be respectful and elevated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I purchased my plane and there was an unreleased lien from 1977. I had Aero Research work to clear the title and file all the paperwork. They did a great job and I believe it cost about $400.00 for the service. Check with AOPA. They can assist you. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
