  1. Thanks Chris!! I'll try to edit the photo when I get to work.
  2. @carusoam Anthony, do you ever sleep? Ive watched you at it every night Ive had insimnia and you seem to read / post 24x7!! Wow! ... or maybe you are the MS AI ... hmmmm.
  3. Nice troubleshooting Mike and team MS!
  4. Yes there is probably not a rush per se
  5. I think to do a lower end budget one could take your approach and go with a G530W and JPI EDM 900 vs the 930. That would save, a few AMU ... maybe 5-10K ish....
  6. Thanks Bob, if you go dual aspens, you can drop the ASI, ALT, Airspeed and DirGyro(?), is that correct? Presume that would be about +10K on what you did.
  7. I have a friend of mine who is looking for a high-end/clean J model and has been looking at mid-late J's in the 130-200K range. There isn't a lot available right now and what I am seeing even at 200K+ don't have quite as nice a panel as Chris's @Marauder (see the 1998 J model on Trade A Plane @$216 for instance). So, what I am looking for is what you guys thing it would cost to take a [steam gauge J with good Airframe and Engine/Prop, autopilot and speed brakes] and go to creampuff dual aspens, new radio stack( GTN or Garmin 530w) , JPI 9XX, good intercom, approach coupled to existing autopilot and Alpha AoA. For realistic numbers do you think $40-50K would get all that out the door installed?
  8. Is that anything like "Oh, the humanity!" ?
  9. My similar situation was a foreign metal object that had fallen into the throttle position switch that was causing a short to ground a popping the gear light breaker ('69 F model though)
  10. I had a similar problem after Avionics work in my 69 F. A nutplate had fallen from behind panel and landed in the throttle posn sensor switch (visible by taking off the throttle quadrant plastic cover)
  11. Thanks for the update Clarence. Hopefully this new batch meet Mooney’s standards.
  12. I ended up finding a used one in TX but will follow up on another inquiry.
  13. I would like to see one; hopefully Patty hasn't 86'd my old one. Would be interesting to get away from terminal supply chain constipation.
  14. Woot! Patty at East Texas Air found a used one for me ; disregard above request but note heads up on shortage issue if affected.
  15. I’m AOG for this bellows ; @Alan Fox @acpartswhse Mooney is backordered and having Manuf issues with these so SWTA / Lasar etc have none. Any servicable/ repairable ones out the here?
  16. ^^^ Sage advice there ^^^
  17. Assuming they are stock... (if not time to chase wires through bundles or use an multi-meter) with the maintenance manual wiring diagram for an '80 K model out there?
  18. Thanks Tex, Ill hold onto that if we end up needs ngnan engine afterall. So far indications are it may have been a transient thing.
  19. I was able to get a rental car with Budget out of Appleton Intl... pretty cheaply too, but would love to meet up. PM w/ my contact info sent
  20. Got hotel arranged in Appleton and Rental car at KATW. Per Platinum Flight Service it is $25 tie down (grass) for the week. Need to bring your own tie downs or local Boy Scouts will sell you a set for $35.
  21. Sounds like a poll to me.
  22. Thanks Bob, that is a great option!
  23. Machine learning, specifically "Deep learning" (DL) algorithms and GPU/FPGA chips working large data sets ... thats what I help companies do at accessgpu.com. DL can do some pretty crazy things with anything from complex pattern recognition/prediction, visualization processing, natural language processing, anomaly detection etc. It is re-writing the rules for everything from physical & IT security, marketing (your experience), medicine, weather prediction, financial (actuarial, market & origination prediction).
  24. HI Bob, that is great insider info. I *really* want to do the caravan next year and I think the dorms may be a great option....or might camp.
