  1. Mooney wants $536.00 for it....
  2. My fuel pump is intermittent. It's not the pump because it was just replaced, so maybe it is the switch?
  3. Any idea where to get the on/off/circuit breaker switch for the boost fuel pump for a 1975 F model? Thank you!
  4. What did you use to remove the sticky residue left behind form the old tape?
  5. I have the Lopresti "cowling" (actually its a lot more then just a cowling) I haven't had any issues with hot CHT's to speak of.
  6. Thank you. I have called aeromotors and I will have them do the overhaul.
  7. Where is a good place to get the electric fuel pump overhauled? Mine has gone inoperative in my 75 F. Or get a replacement. Weldon Pump Part no. A 8153-A or A 8163-A. The part number is hard to read. Thank you.
  8. Yes it has.... reference the entire thread.
  9. So much for those who said a pre J would never fetch north of $100,000 no matter how nice it was. This is great news, I have been contemplating selling mine and getting something larger.

  11. On my 75F the light only comes on if the ram door is open AND the gear is down. (In flight with the gear up the ram air light is out no matter what its position is.)
  12. I change mine every 25 hours or 4 months whatever comes first. (Lycoming says 50 hours / 4 months)
  13. http://aerocomfort.com/ They did my interior and it looks spectacular. Amazing work. I shipped my stuff to them, they reupholstered it all and shipped it back. You could email Gabriela and get a quote. It is more expensive then Airtex though, I don't know what your budget is. Gabriela E. Coblegabrielaf@aerocomfort.com
  14. Ok, that's gross. Do you eat dogs too?
  15. All that rust in there did it in. I read somewhere that "an engine that sits for more then 90 days will not make TBO" (unless you are in a dry climate or the engine is pickled maybe) Airplanes need to fly weekly, oil changed every 25 hours or 4 months, whatever comes first.....
  16. That's a Guinea Pig, not a rat! My daughter takes offense! (She has a pet piggy)
  17. Kind of concerning that it still has rust even after flying daily..... I only fly mine once a week or every two weeks.... yikes!
  18. I have the vinyl ones from SCS, they are fantastic... and no more stained / nasty carpets either!
  19. I have the OEM spinner and bulkhead off of my 1975 F model if your still looking, it is for sale.
  20. LASAR sells the two tools for $290.00. https://lasar.com/tools/
  21. I bought just the two long vinyl runners for the pilot and copilot side from SCS. Even Though they advertise the whole set you can just buy peices. I got them in black vinyl, and I am very pleased with them. No more carpets to clean! In my F the two runners pretty much covered everything I wanted covered. They also come with pre cut insulation that sticks to the bottom of them. (Once you sign that release of the dimensions you are screwed if its not correct. They will charge you for anything that needs changing.)
  22. 10 hours in 7 years? Beware of cam corrosion, borescope can't see that part of the engine. Viewing of the cam requires cylinder removal.
  23. What was the word on your engine? Good I hope?
  24. Trading in a C for an Aerostar? That's quite a jump!
