  1. Weird? You got that right.
  2. Is somebody used to having people do things for them? Too funny.
  3. Hi-Larious. I would of laughed in her face and turned around and walked out. She would of never gotten the Mooney dig in because I would of been laughing to loud as I walked out the door. I can buy two cases for that from Signature no less delivered to my door. You are out of the CB club bub.
  4. Was not trying to imply an upstage Ross. Sweet use of the exclamation point though. Easy does it pard... Tricky...Not so much in my experience.
  5. Servos come up regularly on eBay. Nice to have shoppers find the link and spoon feed you the part. They were cheap in years past. So cheap that not buying spares was not possible.
  6. Some dumb ass said EBay is your friend earlier... Nevermind.
  7. EBay is your friend.... Try taping it and seeing how it works.
  8. You both walked away. Fantastic! Now walk away with an insurance check and upgrade. Have fun.
  9. Go on take your money and run-Steve Miller
  10. Surely you can’t be serious? “Old” injectors can and do work great providing lean of peak operation in a 4-cylinder M20E. Get an engine monitor. Know what is going on...and stop calling me Shirley.
  11. 150 guys: Nostalgic bliss Cher: Bitch slapping and yelling : ”Snap out of it”!!!!!
  12. That sounds like good times. I slept in the perimeter with a line of duty eye injury (collided with a spruce branch in darkness and punctured my Scalia and scratched my cornea). Did a movement to contact and settled in for the night after the attack. Op-4 were harassing all night. Good times. Like flying with a fat guy in a 150...on a hot day. Memories...
  13. 150’s & 152’s are like Infantry Basic Training. The job gets done, but it is miserable. You people that look back fondly on these slow/cramps/sketchily maintained underpowered little P.O.S’s...I shake my head and giggle in your general direction. Just not something to be nostalgic about. They got the job done...barely. They didn’t kill me. Zero desire to ever “go up in one” again. #movin’up.
  14. Not a fan of the 172 either. Liked the Cherokee and Arrow. Cessna’s? NOPE. A 182? Likely.
  15. We sold ours for under $250 on EBay....
  16. Never say NEVER. Ours was off in our ‘66 E.
  17. Congrats on your Mooney purchase. I re-did my panel over time and EBay was used for a lot of avionics. I just removed and sold on EBAY a fully functional AT50A. We updated to get ADSB compliant (taking advantage of rebate from FAA). We had our airspeed indicator refurbed. Shops advertise in the old yellow aviation newspaper. The price was not over $500. I would just buy an inexpensive replacement transponder and have airspeed refurbished. Checking pitot static is, of course, a great suggestion for a plane that has been sitting. I would NEVER pay for a non-wass GPS install nowadays, but that is just me...
  18. Jobu says “Yes”. No. Maybe.
  19. Trained in one. Took my private in one. Zero fondness for the plane for a lot of reasons. I miss them not.
  20. I am 5’ll and my kids flew when they were in high school. They were 5’ 4”. No issues with room, more a weight issue as they grew. You are at a space premium with a 5’8” frame.
  21. Living the good life. Lucky puppies.
  22. Literally said in first sentence a 4-6 knot speed increase with cowl...
  23. Glad you and gear are O.K. I am sure that really got your attention. Way to fly the airplane and not let it distract to something more serious.
  24. I put two full sets of clubs in my backseat. Still have baggage useable. Just have to pull woods from bag. No big deal. Get a J if you can afford it with fold-down seats. If I could of afforded a J years ago that is what I would of purchased. Otherwise, ZERO regrets on my E. You can put 201 yokes in a vintage Mooney. I did.
  25. As U have described your mission the E is the faster plane and less money. E wins.
