  1. I was thinking movie lines such as: "I don't often use the center line of public streets but when I do, I rip off the right wing with fuel so it gets dumped out on the street and I can safely exit the plane" "rolling like a mad dog getting rid of the wings"
  2. I have sat in several Bonanzas and would not be able to fly them. The seat does not go back far enough and the yoke would get tangled in my leg fur. I have flown a Baron from the right seat and it seemed to work. Mooney fits way better. There is not enough room in any Piper products that I have found. Cessna 310 did not have room either. Mustang Jet seemed to fit pretty well. As far as the suggestion goes, I am from Texas... get a rope
  3. or google http://www.aircrafthose.com/
  4. For an F Replaced Oil Cooler Line 124J002-8VR0500 Replaced Oil Cooler Line 124J002-8VR0530 One has a 90 deg on it. If you call PHT hoses he probably has the data on it. Or if you are building your own, just get the fittings and some stock hose
  5. Other projects. I have the design in my head. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Right-Motor-for-Pride-Jazzy-Select-Power-chair-DRVMOTR-1281-PM802-D10B-/301855749693 And a motor contoller and some tubular steel
  6. I am 6' 9" and fit fine in an F. My wife is 5' 9". The back seats in the F are quite comfy for me.
  7. Looks like some good piloting. doing what you need to do when you have to do it.

  9. I am thinking of getting the Phasers STC conversion for the guns
  10. That's what mine is Placarded..... One day I will get enough nerve to fire off a burst.
  11. I would think the "fraying" is the outer sheath coming unwound. Should be able to wound it back up and maybe a small hose clamp over the end. On mine the clamp on the vent housing keeps the outer sheath all wound up.
  12. $1.25 for auto gas at the Buckies in Waller. Not good for the Houston economy
  13. You should start here http://www.67m20e.com/Mooney%20TCDS%202A3%20Rev%2052%20dtd%209DEC10.pdf On Page 19 for an E.. the nosewheel support bolts are station 0 For the E: Leveling means Edge of skin splice over aft fuselage radio access panel. Spirit level is used to level.
  14. So when you stall it. What happens? Just curios, still never getting in one. evar! Is the nut that holds the rotor on still called the Jesus nut?
  15. You can explain all you want. still looks like the rotor could stop and then where would you be.
  16. The first time my wife and I saw a couple of gyroplane on the line we both looked at each other and said "hell no" Each time we see one we say the same thing. The one the guy had to stand up and start the rotor turning just reinforced my complete fear that the rotor would stop turning. If I can't understand it, I ain't flying it...
  17. sure. 867530986753 Once you figure it out it will be stuck in you head the rest of the day. You can thank me later
  18. I am just going to leave this right here
  19. Maybe. It may have been doomed to fail, you may have just hastened it's demise.
  20. Since the Concorde is not on the Type Data sheet..... Do the Concorde come with an STC?
  21. 4) Raw fuel on the ground in a hanger seems like a bad idea 5) I have a proper length piece of tubing(floor to drain) that goes into a glass mason jar 6) The tug gets the sampled gas.
  22. Realizing of course that a Certified A&P is probably the one that over tightened this particular fitting which caused to to break. Good work practices and taking the time to do things right the first time don't come from A&P school. My grandfather who had probably 30 different type hammers because there is the right hammer for the job and just because you have a hammer does not mean everything is a nail. If I had a dollar for every wrong thing a certified A&P did wrong to my plane before I owned it....
  23. Well today was a pentafecta Installed trim - got to use a nail gun and cut off saw - power tools - grunt grunt Work Bike ride - still slow 3rd ride back from car crash Cx flight for cheap gas at Taylor - Yea more cx hours Night current
  24. RTFM applies to 99% of users, on the other hand I have made lots of consulting dollars reading the manual and distilling it down to 10 steps or less
  25. In my transition training he pulled the power. I c172 headed it for the runway. We were way high and fast, I said there was no way to make it. He took the plane and did a slip to one side then the other and gave the plane back and said go around. We would could probably have gotten it down, but it would have been on the last third of a 6000 foot runway.
