KI-256, KCS-55A HSI System for sale

As some of you know, I've been slowly parting out a J model over the last few months.  I've finally gotten around to getting the gyros sent out for checkout, and now I'm at a crossroads.  I just sent them to Bob Bramble (AeroLab Aviation, former King factory repair guy) and he is recommending overhauls of the KI-256 and KG-102A remote gyro.  I'm hesitant to spend that money on spec since these have fallen out of favor with so many owners switching to glass.

 

Pending what is found when he opens them up completely, the overhauled KI-256 will be in the $2200 range, and the KG-102A in the same ball park.  The KI-525A will be around $1000.  I would likely consider selling the entire HSI system for $3000, though, as a complete kit.
