N601RX Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 Very well done. Looks real. cost 4.8M and took 7 years to build. http://www.youtube.c...feature=related Quote
carusoam Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 If you can't watch the whole thing at least skip to the last two or three minutes for scaled T/O and landings. Somebody did a very nice job in scaled modeling and motion. Best regards, -a- Quote
Seth Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 I'd have to say, this is amazing. Watching the aircraft actually take off! That's quite a design. -Seth Quote

N601RX Posted December 18, 2012 Author Report Posted December 18, 2012 Do you think if we sent them a model Mooney they would let it taxi around with the big jets? Quote
wishboneash Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 It could be a great ground operations simulator. Throw in some fog etc.. could get real exciting. Quote
Cabanaboy Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 Wonder how they made the really really small jet engines???? Quote

thinwing Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 there is a much larger presentation of this place on the web that somebody sent me,...in it the narrator describes all the goings on of the citizens of this little world. In one scene it shows a young couple getting frisky in a field of flowers...LOL...this place is quite a tourist trap Quote
flight2000 Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 That is Miniatur Wunderland located in Hamberg, Germany. We are planning a trip there in the spring because my kids are pestering us to go. We plan on spending the entire day there so we have enough time to seee everything that they have (and it's a lot). The airport is only one section of the total exhibit. http://www.miniatur-wunderland.com/ Brian Quote
