David Mazer Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 If we are going to keep a no-go list, I think we should also keep the go list: PMP (Pompano, FL) - nice people and less expensive fuel than BCT FXE (Fort Lauderdale Exec, FL) - a little busy but their fuel is about $1/gal less than PMP which, as mentioned, is about $1/gal less than BCT VNC (Venice, FL) - good fuel prices but mostly just a gorgeous setting right on the Gulf of Mexico DAY (Dayton, OH) - I can't imagine many people needing to go there but it has every service and no traffic Quote
DrBill Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 I've used KLNA (Lantana) when near PBI and all was well. For Southwest Virginia, I use Virginia Highlands. KVJI. Very friendly folks and decent Crew car. I've had mixed service from KTRI (Tri cities). Sometimes charged a fee, sometimes not. Bill Quote
David Mazer Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 I've been to TRI (Tri Cities, TN) a bunch. There used to be two FBOs, one south and one north. The south end was great and the north rather, eh. Guess which is still there. They aren't bad but didn't fall into the good enough to go to or the bad enough to avoid category. Quote
M20F-1968 Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 My I recommend that when people post the airport identifier, they also post city and state. This would avoid having to look it up and makes screening the posting for useful information quicker. Thanks, John Breda Quote
