NewMoon Posted July 9 Report Posted July 9 So I just got back from annual and we put a 1.5" x 5" cut out in the sheep metal in front of the #5 cylinder behind the alternator. This reduced the operating temperature of #5 by 40-45°! Now the #2 is running the hottest. I just replaced the baffling, so i'm wondering any other ideas on how to bring it down. It's ~365° in cruise but 35° hotter then the rest.
gdwinc Posted July 17 Report Posted July 17 Do you have a picture of the cut out? My Ovation has a "pixie hole" but my #5 is always the hottest by at least 35 degrees during cruise.
