Doing a new overhaul on the interior of a 82K model.   I see Mooney has a kit to install a armrest (140295-501).   Has anyone had a lead on how to obtain one besides the salvage yards?

Some like them, some hate them. Maybe someone has one they want to remove and sell. I took mine out and sold it a few years ago.

I guess I need to get out more.  Not seen too many Js, but I have looked at a lot of Ks, and never seen one without.

Here’s one:

But it may not be original. I don’t think I have seen a refurbished one with the armrest. With popularity of iPads and glass panels, the right hand gets plenty of use.

And no headrests.  I'm sure there is a great variety.  There were some options that nearly all were equipped with and, after a few years, probably none remain the way they were built.

I have the armrest in Bravo, but would gladly trade it for a wider seat/back support. My E model had nice wide seats that did not leave space for armrest (not factory original), but were very comfy. While I am not thrilled with my current seats, they are still pretty comfy and in nice condition (redone in 2018 by previous owner) so it is hard to justify change just for kicks and giggles. Nevertheless, my armrest is usually folded back out of the way on most flights.
