  1. Airplane is new to me. Only flew it for 30 minutes to ferry it. I have been working on some bugs and getting close. Flew great but did get a low charge warning on ferry flight. I have since replaced the drive coupler and it is charging as it should. However, during running I get a constant warning tone from one of overhead speakers….beeeeeep-beeeeeeep-beeeeep. So I am looking at the score board of lights (btw all work on the test) and there are no indications for a warning just the annoying beeeeping. can someone tell me the items that can set this warning beep off? I also have the service manual and will try to track schematics to see what all is tied to it…. In the mean time I wanted to ask here for any advice. TIA, Tim.
  2. **UPDATE, Yes, You can get the alternator out the bottom if removing the oil filter adapter. Remove a couple of scat tubes and the LH innercooler support leg. I was able to drop it down and it was tight to get past the cowl flap actuating rod but can be done. I may remove this cross over cowl flap tube to reinstall just to be a little easier. It will go by but is to a millimeter in clearance at that point.
  3. Hello everyone...NEWBI here but not new to the aviation world. Glad to be a part of this community.. So I have used the search feature and found dual removal advice. My 1982 K Mooney has been sitting for several years and we are getting it back to service. I have found there is a bunch of talk about failed couplers which is indeed my low charge problem. However, going through service manual there is nothing on r and i alternator. Looks like a guy can pull the oil filter adapter and drop it down?? and or will I need to pull one mag also? Any advice???
