JPI claims that its EGT probes last about 600-1000 hours. Mine have been in service for about 1500 hours. I'm wondering what symptoms others have seen that indicate imminent probe failure.

Mine also were in service for about 1500 hours before I swapped them out with my GI 275 EIS install.  I only had one fail and there was no noticeable warning, it just failed one day and read zero.

Got one out right now.  New one going back in hopefully in a week or two.  In my case it read anywhere from zero to something that might have been correct depending on the day of the week.  It could be something else, but the appearance of the probe suggested it was time to go.
