Brian2034 Posted April 6, 2024 Report Posted April 6, 2024 Ok Just finished bead blasting and painting my gear. Started the reassembly, noticed I have forward/ aft movement in the main gear ( co- pilot side) The upper frame mounted between the forward and aft spar? has movement it slides forward/ aft in the bearing mounts. I know there are shims available but I can’t find any information on acceptable clearance. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted April 6, 2024 Report Posted April 6, 2024 Take the metal plates at the back and flip them over. The steel tubes wear into them, if you flip them over, it’s like having brand new ones. 1 Quote
RoundTwo Posted April 7, 2024 Report Posted April 7, 2024 SMM calls for 0.020”. Use appropriate shims in the rear block until correct movement is obtained. Quote
